LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 213 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases in the country to 58, 062.
But out of the 58,062 confirmed cases, 49,606 patients have been discharged, while 1,103 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7, 353 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-51, Plateau-51, Abuja-29, Rivers-18, Ondo-12, Oyo-9, Osun-8, Gombe-7, Ogun-7, Kaduna-5, Enugu-4, Edo-3, Jigawa-3, Kano-3, Benue-1, Delta-1 and Sokoto-1, making a total of 213 new cases of #Coronavirusngr.

On the global scale, the battle against the pandemic still has a long way to go with 32, 386, 999 confirmed cases, 985, 226 patients already dead, while 22,286, 196 others have survived the virus, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.
According to the centre, the United States remains worst hit by the virus as confirmed cases jumped over 7 million. Specifically, there are 7,019,232 confirmed cases, 203, 429 deaths, while 2, 710, 183 others are back on their feet, leaving the United States with 4, 105, 620 active cases of the virus(47, 361 new cases), followed by India, which has confirmed 5, 818, 570 cases over time, 92, 290 patients have lost their lives, while 4, 756, 164 others have overcome the virus, leaving India with 970, 116 patients down with Coronavirus, hoping for the best to get back on their feet(86, 052 new cases) and Brazil with 4,657, 702 all time cases, 139, 808 lives have been lost to the virus, while 4, 102, 954 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Brazil with 414, 940 active cases of the virus(32, 817 new cases).
Russia, the 4th country worst hit by the virus has documented 1, 131,088 confirmed cases, 19, 973 patients are no more, while 930, 955 others have regained their health, leaving Russia with 180, 160 patients to assist to the point of recovery(7, 112 new cases), followed by Colombia with 790, 823 all time cases of the virus, 24, 746 patients have lost their lives, while 662, 227 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Colombia with 103, 850 patients down with the ailment, hoping for the best to keep living(6, 555 new cases), and Peru, which has reported 788, 930 all time cases, 31, 938 patients have been killed by the virus, while 636, 489 others have been assisted to overcome the virus, leaving Peru with 120, 503 cases to manage to recovery(6, 235 new cases).
Spain, now the 7th country worst hit by the ailment has documented 716, 481 all time cases, 31, 232 patients are no more, no thanks to #Coronavirus, while about 150, 376 others have been discharged, leaving Spain with about 534, 873 active cases of Coronavirus(49, 432 new cases), followed by Mexico with 715, 457 cases recorded over time, 75, 439 patients have kicked the bucket, while 605, 796 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Mexico with 34, 222 active cases of the virus(5, 408 new cases) and Argentina which has reported 678,266 cases over time, 14, 766 deaths and 536, 589 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 126, 911 patients to assist with their health challenges(13, 467 new cases).

South Africa comes in as the 10th country most affected by the pandemic, reporting 668, 529 confirmed cases, 16,312 patients have died while 599, 149 others are now hale and hearty, leaving South Africa with 53, 068 cases of Coronavirus to manage to recovery(1, 100 new cases), followed by France, which has reported 552, 270 all time cases, 31, 674 deaths and 96,795 recoveries, leaving France with 423, 801 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 981 new cases) and Chile, with 453, 868 all time cases, 12, 527 deaths and 428, 580 recoveries, leaving Chile with 12, 761 active cases of Coronavirus(2, 234 new cases).
Iran, which is next now stands as the 13th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 439,882 confirmed cases, 25, 222 lives have been snatched by the virus, while 369, 842 others have survived the ailment, leaving Iran with 44, 818 active cases of Coronavirus(3, 563 new cases), followed by the United Kingdom, which has reported 425, 765 all time cases, 42,025 patients have lost their lives to the virus, while only 2, 286 patients have been assisted by health authorities to overcome the virus, leaving the United Kingdom with 381, 454 active cases of the pandemic(6, 879 new cases) and Italy, now the 20th country worst hit by the ailment, reporting 306,235 cases confirmed over time, 35, 801 patients have died, while 222, 716 others have been discharged, leaving Italy with 47,718 patients in dire need of medical attention to get back on their feet(1, 912 new cases).
China, where Coronavirus was first discovered now stands as the 41st nation worst hit by the virus with 90, 426 all time cases, 4, 738 patients have died, while 85, 330 others are now healthy, leaving China with 358 cases of Coronavirus to manage.
