LAGOS, Nigeria – The Coronavirus pandemic is still alive and blowing across major tourism destination across the globe even as major economies open up allowing for global travels.

Our correspondent brings to you 10 top tourism destinations and how far they have gone in the battle against the virus based on the latest statistics released by the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland, United States.

SAUDI ARABIA: Saudi Arabia has documented 331, 857 confirmed cases, 4,599 deaths and 314, 793 recoveries. Saudi Arabia is left with 12, 465 active cases of Coronavirus.

ISRAEL: Israel has confirmed 215, 273 all time cases,  1,405 deaths while 152, 837 patients have recovered, leaving Israel with 61, 031 active cases of Coronavirus.

PANAMA: Panama has reported 108, 726 confirmed cases,  2, 297  patients are dead  while 85, 494 others have recovered, leaving Panama with 20, 935 active cases of Coronavirus.

UAE: The United Arab Emirates has confirmed 89, 540  total cases,  409 deaths and  78, 819 recoveries, leaving the UAE with 10, 312 active cases of the virus.

JAPAN: Japan has 81, 045 confirmed cases, 1, 543 deaths and 72,066 recoveries, leaving Japan with 7, 436 active cases.

KENYA: Kenya has confirmed 37,489 cases,  669 deaths and 24, 334 recoveries, leaving Kenya with  12, 486 active cases of  the virus.

CUBA: Cuba has reported 5, 310 confirmed cases, 118 patients are no more while 4, 618 others have overcome the virus, leaving Cuba with  574 active cases of the pandemic.

TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO: Trinidad and Tobago  has documented 4, 235 confirmations, 67 deaths and 2, 047 recoveries, leaving Trinidad and Tobago with 2, 121 active cases of the virus.

BAHAMAS: The Bahamas has reported 3, 699 confirmed cases, 86 deaths and 1, 962 recoveries, leaving the Bahamas with 1, 651 active cases of Coronavirus.

JAMAICA: Jamaica has documented 5, 588 cases, 77 deaths and 1, 490 recoveries, leaving Jamaica with 4,021 patients to treat for the Coronavirus pandemic.

But globally, all time cases of Coronavirus Pandemic has reached a new  mark with  the current figure topping 32,068, 225  cases,  while 979, 862 patients have lost their lives, while 22, 059, 084  others were able to overcome the virus, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.

According to the centre, the United States maintains the lead as the worst hit among nations, reporting 6, 971, 871  all time cases, 202, 792 sick people are now dead, while 2, 670,  256 others have survived the ailment, leaving the United States with 4, 098, 823 active cases of Coronavirus(46, 031 new cases), followed by India with 5, 732, 518 cases recorded over time, 91, 149 sick people already dead, while 4, 674, 987  others have withered the storm, leaving India with 966, 382 patients hoping for the best to get out of their predicament(86, 508 new cases) and Brazil, which has reported 4, 624, 885 cases recorded over time, 138, 977 patients  have been killed by the virus, while 4, 070,983  others  managed to survive, leaving Brazil with 414, 925 active cases of Coronavirus(33, 521 new cases).

Russia, the 4th country worst hit by the virus has confirmed  1, 123,976 confirmed cases,  19, 867 patients already dead  while 926, 663 others have managed to survive, leaving  Russia with 177, 446 patients   to assist medically to point of full recovery, followed by Colombia with 784, 268 confirmations,  24, 746 patients are no more, while 662,277 others are having every reason to praise God for helping them to remain alive, leaving Colombia with 97, 245 active cases of Coronavirus(6, 731 new cases), followed by Peru with 782,695 confirmations,  31, 870 patients  already dead, while 636, 489 others have regained their health, leaving Peru with 114, 336 patients down with the virus, hoping for the best to keep living(6, 149 new cases).

Mexico now stands as the 7th  country worst hit by the virus, reporting  710, 049  all time cases, 74,949  deaths and  601, 611 recoveries, leaving Mexico with 33, 489 active cases of the virus(4,786 new cases), followed by  Spain, which has documented 667,049 all time cases, while 31, 118  patients have kicked the bucket,  while  about 150, 376 others have been discharged, leaving Spain with 485, 555 patients to treat for the pandemic and South Africa with 667, 049 cases recorded over time, 16, 283 deaths and 595,916 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 54, 850 active cases of Coronavirus.

Argentina  has emerged as the 10th nation worst hit  by the strange aliment with 664, 799 all time cases, 14, 376 patients have been killed by the deadly virus while  525, 486 others have been healed of the ailment, leaving Argentina with 124, 937 patients still sick, hoping for the best to get back on their feet(12, 625 new cases), followed by  France, which has reported 536, 289 cases over a period of time, 31, 524 deaths and 95, 980 recoveries, leaving France with 408, 785  current cases of the virus(27, 967 new cases)  and Chile with 451,634 all time cases, 12, 469 already dead, while 426, 876 others  have been given clean bill of health, leaving Chile with 12, 289 patients to assist medically to  get back to normal life(1, 731 new cases).

Iran now stands as the 13th  country most affected by the virus,  with 436, 319  cases confirmed over time,  25, 015 lives have been snatched away by the pandemic, while 367, 829 others  have been able to overcome the virus, leaving Iran with  43, 475 active cases of Coronavirus and the United Kingdom which has suffered the highest casualties in Europe.

Now the 14th country worst hit by the virus, the U.K has documented 418, 886 all time cases with 41, 991 deaths so far with only 2, 268 patients  assisted by the health authorities to recover since the first cases was reported in the U.K, leaving the kingdom with 374, 627 active cases of the virus to manage(6, 646 new cases) and Italy, the 20th country most hit by the virus, reporting 304, 323  confirmations,  35, 781 deaths, while 221,762 patients  have been able to overcome the virus, leaving Italy with 46,780 patients in dire need of medical assistant to get back to normal life(1, 786 new cases) and China  where the virus was first reported.

Now standing as the 40th nation worst hit by the pandemic, China has documented 90, 416 cases over time, 4, 738 deaths while 85, 304 others are now hale and hearty, leaving China with 374  cases of Coronavirus to manage.
