LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 239 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, making a total of 54,247 all time cases.
Out of 54,247 confirmed cases, 42,010 patients have been discharged, while 1,023 others have passed on, leaving Nigeria with 11, 214 Coronavirus patients.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Plateau-116, Abuja-33, Lagos-19, Ekiti-12, Kaduna-11, Ogun-11, Ebonyi-8, Benue-7, Abia-5, Delta-5, Ondo-4, Edo-3, Imo-2, Osun-2 and Bauchi-1, making a total of 239 new cases of Coronavirus.

Worldwide, there are now 25, 587, 737 confirmed cases, 852, 851 total deaths, while 16, 882,698 others have survived the pandemic, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 6, 068, 139 confirmed cases, 184, 450 deaths, while 2, 184, 825 others have overcome the pandemic, leaving the United States with 3, 698, 864 Coronavirus patients hoping to be given another chance to live(41,028 new cases), followed by Brazil which has reported 3, 908, 272 all time cases, 121, 381 deaths, while 3, 268,591 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Brazil with 518, 300 patients to treat(45, 961 new cases), followed by India with 3, 691, 166 all time cases, 62, 688 deaths, while 2, 839,882 others are now healthy, leaving India with 788, 596 patients in the hospital hoping to stay alive(69, 921 new cases).
Russia has documented 997, 072 confirmed cases, 17, 250 deaths and 813, 603 recoveries, leaving Russia with 166, 219 patients in need of medical attention, followed by Peru with 652, 037 all time cases, 28, 944 deaths, while 462, 329 others have been discharged, leaving Peru with 160, 764 patients struggling to survive in the hospitals(4, 871 new cases), followed by South Africa with 628, 259 confirmed cases, 14, 263 deaths while 549, 993 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 64,003 active cases of the pandemic(1, 218 new cases).
Colombia has reported 614, 669 confirmed cases, 19, 640 deaths and 458,815 recoveries, leaving Colombia with 136, 214 Coronavirus patients(6, 765 new cases), followed by Mexico with 599, 560 confirmed cases, 64, 414 deaths and 496, 222 recoveries, leaving Mexico with 38, 924 patients needing medical attention to be on their feet(3, 719 new cases), followed by Spain which has documented 470, 973 all time cases, 29, 152 deaths, while 150, 376 others have been cured, leaving Spain with 291, 445 active cases of Coronavirus(8,115 new cases).
Argentina is next with 417,735 confirmed cases, 8, 730 deaths, while 308, 376 others have been discharged, leaving Argentina with 100,629 patients in need of medical attention, followed by Chile with 413, 145 all time cases, 11, 321 deaths and 385, 790 recoveries, leaving Chile with 16, 034 active cases of Coronavirus(1, 419 new cases), followed by Iran with 376,894 confirmed cases, 21, 672 deaths while 325, 124, others have received clean bill of health, leaving Iran with 30, 098 patients praying to survive the pandemic.
The United Kingdom, which has reported the highest casualty in Europe with least recoveries among pears has documented 339, 385 all time cases, 41, 592 deaths, while only 1,689 people have overcome the pandemic since the first case was reported. The UK currently seats between Benin and Libya all in Africa in terms of recovery, leaving the UK with 296, 104 Coronavirus patients(1, 306 new cases), followed by France in the 14th spot in the league of most affected countries.
France has documented 323, 968 all time cases, 30, 666 deaths, while 87, 033 others have recovered, leaving France with 206, 269 Coronavirus patients(5, 073 new cases), followed by Italy in the 19th spot with 270, 189 all time cases, 35, 491 deaths and 207,944 recoveries, leaving Italy with 26, 754 active cases of Coronavirus(975 new cases).
Occupying the 34th spot is China which has reported 89, 926 confirmed cases, 4, 724 deaths, while 84, 632 patients have been discharged, leaving China with 570 Coronavirus patients.
