LAGOS, Nigeria -The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 100 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number to 55,005 all time cases.
But out of the 55,005 confirmed cases, 43,013 patients have been discharged, while 1,057 others have passed on, leaving Nigeria with 10, 935 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-39, Abuja-22, Kaduna-19, Oyo-7, Ebonyi-6, Edo-3, Katsina-1, Ekiti-1, Bauchi-1 and Nasarawa-1, making a total of 100 new cases of Coronavirus.
“NCDC@NCDCgov100 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-39, FCT-22, Kaduna-19, Oyo-7, Ebonyi-6, Edo-3, Katsina-1, Ekiti-1, Bauchi-1, Nasarawa-1; 55,005 confirmed 43,013 discharged 1,057 deaths”, the NCDC said in a statement.
There are now 26, 967, 312 confirmed cases worldwide, 881, 096 deaths, while 18, 024, 746 others have overcome the pandemic, based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States is still ahead of nations most affected by Coronavirus. According to the centre, the United States has recorded 6, 270, 950 confirmed cases, 188, 810 deaths, while 2, 302, 187 patients have recovered, leaving the U.S with 3, 779, 953 patients to treat for Coronavirus(29, 767 new cases) followed by Brazil which has documented 4,123, 000 all time cases of Coronavirus, 126, 203 deaths, while 3, 514,451 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Brazil with 482, 346 people still down with Coronavirus(30, 168 new cases), followed by India, which has reported 4, 113, 811 confirmed cases, 70, 626 deaths, while 3, 180, 865 others have been healed, leaving India with 862, 320 patients in need of medical attention(90, 632 new cases).

Russia has documented 1, 022, 228 all time cases, 17, 768 deaths and 838, 680 recoveries, leaving Russia with 165, 780 Coronavirus patients in the hospitals, followed by Peru with 683, 702 confirmed cases, 29, 687 deaths, while 406,422 others have recovered, leaving Peru with 247, 593 patients in need of medical attention(6, 854 new cases), followed by Colombia with 658, 456 all time cases, 21, 156 deaths and 507, 770 recoveries, leaving Colombia with 129, 530 active cases of Coronavirus(8, 401 new cases).
South Africa(7th) in the league of most affected countries, has reported 638,517 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 14, 889 deaths, while 563, 891 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 59, 937 patients in need of medical attention(1, 633 new cases), followed by Mexico with 629, 409 all time cases, 67, 329 deaths while 518, 884 others are now healthy, leaving Mexico with 43, 196 patients down with Coronavirus(6, 319 new cases) and Spain, which has documented 498,989 all time cases, 29, 418 deaths, while 150, 376 patients have been discharged, leaving Spain with 319, 195 people to manage for Coronavirus.
Argentina currently occupies the 10th spot in the ranks of most affected countries, reporting 471, 806 confirmed cases, 9, 807 deaths, while 349, 132 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Argentina with 112, 867 patients to manage for Coronavirus, followed by Chile with 422, 510 all time cases of the pandemic, 11, 592 deaths and 394, 399 recoveries, leaving Chile with 16, 519 Coronavirus patients (2, 076 new cases) and Iran with 386, 658 all time cases of Coronavirus, 22, 293 deaths, while 333, 900 others have been cured, leaving Iran with 30, 465 active cases of the pandemic.
The United Kingdom has been pushed to the 13th spot in the league with 349,505 cases, 41, 640 deaths, while only 1, 824 patients have been assisted to recovery since the first case was reported in the U.K, leaving the state with 306, 041 patients still down with Coronavirus(2, 999 new cases), followed by France(14) in the rank, with 347, 268 all time cases of the pandemic, 30, 730 deaths, while 87, 927 patients have been discharged, leaving France with 228, 611 active cases of the pandemic(1 new case) and Italy which has been pushed to number 19 in the league with 277,634 confirmed cases, 35, 541 deaths and 210, 015 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Italy with 32, 078 Coronavirus patients(1, 296 new cases).
Now pushed to the 35th spot in the league, China has documented 90, 046 confirmed cases, 4, 728 deaths, while 84, 854 others have been discharged, leaving China with 464 active cases of Coronavirus to deal with.
