LAGOS, Nigeria – Nollywood queen, Ini Edo is no doubt one of the most sought after brands in the fast growing world of modeling in Nigeria.
Having made her mark in Nollywood, Ini Edo seems to be the biggest thing to happen to the growing modeling industry and she is receiving the deserving attention and accolades from far and near.
Blessed with a well built slim shape, straight legs with a charming and glowing brown skin, it is not surprising that Ini Edo has been able to establish herself as the brand personification of the fashion outfit, Brown Sugar.
Ini Edo brought verve and charm to Nollywood when she stormed the industry in the 2003. Born April 23, 1982, she is an Ibibio from Akwa Ibom. Currently a Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, Ini Edo attended University of Uyo where she obtained a Diploma before heading to the University of Calabar for a degree in English Language. She was also at the National Open University, for a degree in Law.
The actress who has appeared in dozens of home videos got married to Phillip Ehiagwina, an American based business man in 2008 but the union ended after six years in September 2014.
She was Glo brand ambassador for years and brand ambassador for many brands. Ini Edo has won several awards among them Best Actress leading role (Yoruba) 2009 at Best of Nollywood Award, Best Indigenous Actress, Zulu African Film Academy Awards(2011). Among the numerous films she has featured are Fatal Seduction, Emotional Blackmail and Battle for Bride.
