LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirrmed 417 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, making a total of 49,485 confirmed cases.
Out of the 49, 485 all time cases, 36,834 patients have been discharged, while 977 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 11, 674 patients to cater for.
Breakdown of the 417 new cases is as follows, Lagos-207, Kaduna-44, Ondo-38, Abia-28, Anambra-21, Plateau-20, Bauchi-13, Oyo-9, Ebonyi-9, Delta-7, Edo-7, Enugu-6, Niger-3, Gombe-2, Ogun-1, Abuja-1 and Kano-1.

Worldwide, 21, 770, 754 cases of Coronavirus have been recorded, 776, 819 deaths, while 13, 725, 926 others have been given clean bill of health, says the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 5, 425, 545 cases over time, 170, 281 deaths, while 1, 833, 067 others have been declared healthy by medical doctors, leaving the U.S with 3, 422, 197 people currently undergoing treatment in the various hospitals(25, 365 new cases), followed by Brazil 3, 340,197 all time cases, 107, 852 deaths, while 2, 661, 233 patients have been discharged, leaving Brazil with 571, 112 patients still on treatment, followed by India with 2, 647, 663 cases recorded over time, 50, 921 accumulated deaths, while 1, 919, 842 patients have been declared fit, leaving India with 676, 900 patients in treatment centres(57, 981 new cases).

Russia is the third most affected country, reporting 925, 558 all time cases, 15, 707 deaths over time, while 734, 573 others have been discharged, leaving Russia with 175, 278 patients to care for, followed by South Africa in the 5th place, with 589, 886 cases over time, 11, 982 accumulated deaths, while 477, 671 patients have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 100, 233 patients to contend with(2, 541 new cases), followed by Peru with 535, 946 cases over time, 26, 281 accumulated deaths, while 365, 367 patients are now healthy, leaving Peru with 144, 298 patients to care for.
Mexico is next in the 7th spot with 522, 162 cases since the first case was recorded, 56, 757 deaths, while 424, 298 others have been able to recover, leaving Mexico with 41, 107 patients in the hospital(4, 448 new cases), followed by Colombia, which has documented 468, 332 cases over time, 15, 097 deaths since the first case was recorded, while 287, 436 others have been discharged, leaving Colombia with 165, 799 cases to treat, and then Chile in the 9th position among the league.
Chile has reported 387, 502 accumulated cases, 10, 513 deaths over time, while 360, 385 patients have been given clean bill of health, leaving Chile with 16, 604 patients in the hospital(1, 556 new cases).
Spain(10) has reported 359, 082 cases over time, 28, 646 deaths, while 150, 376 others have been able to recover, leaving Spain with 180, 060 patients to cater for, (16, 269 new cases) followed by Iran(11) with 345, 450 cases recorded over time, 19, 804 accumulated deaths, while 299, 157 patients have been discharged, leaving Iran with 26, 489 patients to contend with(2, 247 new cases) and then the United Kingdom(12) in the league with 320, 347 accumulated case, 46, 791 deaths over time, while only 1, 490 patients have been able to recover, leaving the United Kingdom with 272, 066 patients in the hospitals still undergoing treatment(4 new cases), followed by France in 17th spot with 256, 473 cases over time, 30, 410 deaths, while 84, 210 patients have been given clean bill of health, leaving France with 141, 853 patients to cater for(3, 508 new cases).
Italy has been pushed to number 18 in the ranks of most affected countries, reporting 254, 235 cases over time, 35, 400 accumulated deaths, while 203, 968 patients have recovered, leaving Italy with 14, 867 people still on medications in the hospitals(320 new cases) and then China where Coronavirus pandemic was first reported. China has reported 89, 421 cases over time, 4, 703 deaths, while 83, 250 patients have been discharged. China currently has 1, 468 cases of Coronavirus.
