LAGOS, Nigeria-The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 322 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the total number of all time cases to 52,227.
Out of the 52,227 confirmed cases, 38,945 patients have survived, while 1,002 others have passed on, leaving Nigeria with 12, 280 Coronavirus patients.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-130, Bauchi-36, Abuja-25, Edo-17, Bayelsa-14, Ogun-14, Oyo-14, Anambra-13, Kaduna-12, Ondo-11, Abia-10, Osun-6, Plateau-5, Kwara-5, Kano-4, Ebonyi-3, Sokoto-2 and Borno-1, making a total of 322 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
“NCDC@NCDCgov 322 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-130, Bauchi-36, FCT-25, Edo-17, Bayelsa-14, Ogun-14, Oyo-14, Anambra-13, Kaduna-12, Ondo-11, Abia-10, Osun-6, Plateau-5, Kwara-5, Kano-4, Ebonyi-3, Sokoto-2 and Borno-1; 52,227 confirmed; 38,945 ;discharged 1002 deaths”, the NCDC said in a statement.
Globally, there are currently 23, 309, 597 confirmed cases, 806,543 deaths, while 15, 007, 062 patients have recovered from the pandemic, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected globally, reporting 5, 698, 843 all time cases, 176, 156 deaths over time, while 1, 997,761 patients have been discharged, leaving the United States with 3, 524, 926 patients on treatment for the pandemic(38, 124 new cases), followed by Brazil with 3, 582, 362 all time cases of Coronavirus, 114, 250 deaths over time, while 2, 919, 647 patient have overcome the pandemic, leaving Brazil with 548, 465 patients to cater for(50, 032 new cases), followed by India which has documented 3,044,940 cases over time, 56, 706 deaths since the first case was reported, while 2, 280, 566 people have been healed, leaving India with 707, 668 Coronavirus patients(69, 239 new cases).

Russia is next with 954, 328 all time cases, 16, 341 deaths over time, while 768, 906 patients have survived the ailment, leaving Russia with 169, 081 patients to treat for the pandemic, followed by South Africa with 609, 773 cases recorded over time, 13, 059 deaths from the outset of the disease, while 506, 470 patients have been able to overcome the ailment, leaving South Africa with 90, 244 patients on treatment for the pandemic(2, 728 fresh cases), followed by Peru with 585, 236 all time cases of the pandemic, 27, 453 deaths, while 380, 730 people have been cured, leaving Peru with 177, 053 Coronavirus patients.
Mexico is 7th in the league of most afflicted country, reporting 556, 216 cases over time, 60, 254 deaths accumulated over time with 453, 104 recoveries, leaving Mexico with 42, 858 patients still receiving treatment , followed by Colombia with 553, 103 cases of Coronavirus since the first case was reported, 16, 968 all time deaths, while 359, 792 patients have survived the pandemic, leaving Colombia with 176, 343 cases of the ailments followed by Chile, which has documented 397, 665 cases over time, 10, 852 accumulated deaths, while 371, 179 patients have been able to survive the pandemic, leaving Chile with 15, 634 Coronavirus patients(1, 957 fresh cases).
Spain is number 10 in the rank of most affected countries, with 386, 054 cases of the pandemic since the outset, 28, 838 deaths over time, while 150, 376 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Spain with 206, 840 patients receiving treatment for the pandemic, followed by Iran with 358,905 all time cases, 20, 643 deaths over time while 309, 464 patients have been given clean bill of health by relevant authorities, leaving Iran with 28, 798 Coronavirus patients, followed by Argentina in number 12 in the rank with 336, 802 cases recorded over time, 6, 947 deaths over time while 251, 400 patients have survived, leaving Argentina with 78, 455 active cases of the virus(7,759 new cases).

The United Kingdom is next with 327, 643 all time cases, 41, 515 all time deaths, while only 1, 547 patients have been able to recover since the first cases was reported in the U.K, leaving the state with 284, 128 active cases(1, 084 fresh cases), followed by France in number 17, reporting 280, 459 cases over time, 30, 518 deaths since the first case was reported, while 85, 125 patients have been cured, leaving France with 164, 816 current cases of Coronavirus(4, 897 new cases), followed by Italy (18) with 259, 345 all time cases, 35, 437 deaths over time, while 205, 470 patients have been discharged, leaving Italy with 18, 438 patients being treated for the pandemic(1, 209 new cases).
China is next in 33rd spot with 89, 679 all time cases, 4, 711 deaths over time while 83, 968 patients have overcome Coronavirus, leaving China with 1,000 current cases of Coronavirus.
