LAGOS-NIGERIA – All eagerly anticipate the much awaited and talked about 2020 convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses, the first of its kind, virtually. Not even the deadly COVID-19 could dampen the spirit of the joyous Witnesses as they send greetings to each other welcoming the convention. Joy is in the air.
What makes the convention most welcome is that for the first time in their history, the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses from their World Head Quarters, Warwick USA will feature as the main speakers at a convention to the entire worldwide Christian association of Jehovah’s Witnesses. What a convention, and what a privilege to listen to these experienced, spiritual, dear loving brothers handle spiritual discussions to the glory of the happy God, Jehovah!
Although they will spend a lot of money, buying data to download the free programme from their website and app to watch, the joyous Witnesses are undaunted.
They demonstrated love for their brothers by either sharing already downloaded convention video files with them where possible, or buying and sharing data with those in need so that no one will miss out from this spiritual feast.

The Chairman of the Friday morning session started on a happy note, “Greetings Brothers and sisters, you are welcome to this special edition of JW Broadcasting originating from the World Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Our programme this month and next will feature the entire regional convention programme for 2020”. On that happy note, the convention began.
The Witnesses and their friends will surely be delighted to watch and listen to each speaker, deliver their part. Each year, many who are not Jehovah’s Witnesses attend the annual conventions.
There are more than 8.6 million active Witnesses worldwide, yet the 2019 conventions had a peak attendance of more than 14 million. With the 2020 convention program available online in hundreds of languages, this may just be the most attended convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses to date.
