LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 463 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the total number to 33, 616 confirmed cases.
Out of the 33, 616 confirmed cases, 13, 792 have been discharged, while 754 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 19,070 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the 463 new cases is as follows: Lagos-128, Kwara-92, Enugu-39, Delta-33, Edo-29, Plateau-28, Kaduna-23, Oyo-15, Ogun-14, Osun-14, FCT-12, Ondo-9, Rivers-9, Abia-8, Bayelsa-5, Ekiti-3 and Borno-2.

But worldwide, there are now 13, 494,771 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, while 582, 547 others have died, while 7, 522, 147 patients have recovered based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country in the world, reporting 3,490, 735 cases, 137,235 deaths, while 1, 075, 882 others have been discharged. The United States now has 2, 277, 618 active cases of the pandemic.

Brazil, which is the next most affected country has reported 1, 966, 748 cases, 75, 366 deaths, while 1, 350,098 others have recovered. Brazil is left with 541, 284 active cases of the pandemic, followed by India, which has documented 936, 181 confirmed cases, 24, 309 deaths, while 592,032 others have been discharged, leaving India with 319, 840 active cases of the pandemic.
Russia is next with 745, 197 cases, 11, 753 deaths, while 522,375 Russians have been discharged, leaving the state with 211, 069 active cases of the virus, followed by Peru, which has reported 337, 751 cases, 12, 417 deaths, while 226, 400 people have recovered. Peru is left with 98, 934 active cases of the pandemic, followed closely by Chile which has reported 321, 205 cases, 7, 186 deaths while 292,085 Chileans have recovered, leaving the state with 21, 934 active cases.
Mexico is next with 311, 486 cases, 35, 491 deaths, while 245, 830 others have recovered leaving Mexico with 30, 165 active cases, followed by South Africa with 311, 049 cases, 4, 453 deaths, while 160, 693 people have recovered, leaving South Africa with 145, 903 active cases.
The United Kingdom is next with 293, 469 cases, 1,386 have recovered, while 45, 138 others could not make it alive. The U.K. is left with 246, 945 active cases and France with 210, 568 cases, 30, 123 deaths, while 78, 945 others have recovered, leaving France with 101, 500 active cases and China where the pandemic was first reported.
China has reported 85, 245 cases, 4, 641 deaths, while 79, 967 others have recovered, leaving China with 637 active cases.
