LAGOS, Nigeria -Nigeria’s most celebrated Disc Jockey, Dan Foster is dead. Dan Foster, an American by birth was one of the founding presenters in Nigeria’s premier radio station, Cool Fm.
Through his accent and unique and very comical presentation, Dan Foster endeared the station into the minds of Nigerians.
Dan Foster died after a brief ailment, but unconfirmed reports have linked his death to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was said to have died at a Lagos medical facility where he was receiving treatment for Coronavirus.
Dan Foster, left Cool FM, where he worked for many years for City Fm and was one of the pillars of the radio station before he left for Classic Fm.
His death has continued to generate reactions among broadcasters. In their tribute to the late broadcaster, City FM wrote, Dan Foster will be surely missed.

“Your time at City FM was wonderful and we loved working with you. Our hearts go out to his family at this time, we pray that God comforts them.
“Rest in peace, Legend. The Broadcast media will never be the same without you”.
“He made us radio personalities more conscious of good content on radio”, another presenter wrote about him, adding that everyone knew him for his superlative job and everyone wanted to be like him.
Mi Abaga wrote, “Dan Foster, you played your path with grace and excellence. We will not forget you”.
