EDO, Benin, Nigeria – The Police in Benin, Edo State said they have the principal suspect in the murder of Miss Vera Uwa Omozuwa.
Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission(NiDCO), Mrs. Abike Dabire, quoted spokesman of the Edo Police Command, Mr. Chidi Nwabuzor as saying that the suspect was arrested after examining the fire extinguisher that was used in inflicting body injury on the deceased.

“According to the spokesman of Edo Police Command, Chidi Nwabuzor, the suspect was arrested after the fingerprint on the fire extinguisher she was attacked with was examined. #JusticeForUwa”, she said.
Vera Uwa Omozuwa was raped on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Benin, but died three days later at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital
Uwa Omozuwa, a Choir in RCCG had visited the parish in the evening for her regular study as a result of the lockdown occasioned by the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic.
She was 22 years and 100 Level Microbiology student of the University of Lagos.
