LAGOS, Nigeria -The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 745 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 18, 480.
But out of the 18, 480 cases, 6, 307 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, while 475 others have passed on.
A breakdown of the 745 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, shows that 280 new cases were found in Lagos, 103 in Oyo, 72 in Ebony, 60 in Abuja, 46 in Imo, 34 in Edo, 33 in Delta, 25 in Rivers, 23 in Kaduna, 16 in Ondo, 12 in Katsina, 10 in Kano, 8 in Bauchi, 7 in Borno, 5 in Kwara, 4 in Gombe, 2 in Sokoto, 2 in Enugu, 1 in Yobe, 1 in Osun and 1 in Nasarawa, the NCDC has said.

Globally, there are 8, 443,983 confirmed cases of Coronavirus while 452, 520 others could not make it alive based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States still leads among the most affected nations in the world, reporting 2, 187, 876, while 118,381 patients have died, followed by Brazil, which has documented 978, 142 confirmed cases with 47, 748 deaths – 22, 765 new cases – 1, 238 deaths in the last 24 hours, followed by Russia, the most affected country in Europe.
Russia has reported 560, 321 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 7, 650 patients have died. Next is India, which has documented 366, 946 confirmed cases of Coronavirus with 12, 237 deaths and then the United Kingdom which has 301,935 confirmed cases, with 42, 373 deaths.

Spain is next in line, reporting 245, 268 confirmed cases of the pandemic with 27, 136 deaths, followed by Peru, which has confirmed 240, 908 cases and 7, 257 deaths.
Italy has 238, 159 confirmed cases, with 34, 514 deaths and then China, which has confirmed 84,462 cases, 4,638 deaths, while 79, 511 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving China with 313 cases, up by 13 in the last 24 hours.
