LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 389 new cases of the Coronavirus pandemic, bringing the total number of Coronavirus in Nigeria to 12233. In Brazil, the situation is looking hopeless.
However, out of the 12,233 cases in Nigeria, 3826 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, while 342 others could not make it alive.
A breakdown of the 389 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria revealed that 66 new cases were discovered in Lagos, 50 in Abuja, 32 in Delta, 23 in Edo, 23 in Ebonyi, 17 in Anambra, 17 in Gombe, 14 in Nasarawa, 12 in Imo, 12 in Kano, 12 in Sokoto, 8 in Jigawa, 7 in Ogun, 5 in Bauchi, 2 in Kebbi, 2 in Kaduna, 2 in Katsina, 2 in Ondo, 1 in Abia and 1 in Niger State, the NCDC has said of new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Globally, there are currently 6,852, 810 confirmed cases, while 398, 211 patients have died based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineeering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States still remains the most affected worldwide, reporting, 1, 917, 080 confirmed cases, while 109, 702 patients could not make it alive, followed by Brazil, which currently has 645, 771 confirmed cases with 35, 026 deaths.
Between late Friday and Saturday, Brazil has recorded 30, 830 new cases and 4, 196 deaths, the John Hopkins has said of Coronavirus in Brazil.
Russia, the next, is actually the most affected country in Europe, based on the population so far affected. Russia has reported 458, 102 confirmed cases while 5, 717 patients have died, followed by United Kingdom, which has suffered the highest casualty in Europe.
The United Kingdom currently has 286, 294 confirmed cases while 40, 548 patients have passed on.
Spain, the next most affected country has reported 241, 310 confirmed cases with 27, 135 deaths, followed by Italy with 234, 801 confirmed cases with 33, 846 deaths and then China,which has been pushed into the 18th most affected country.
China now has 84, 181 confirmed cases, 4, 638 deaths, while 79, 423 patients have recovered and discharged, leaving China with 120 cases, up by 4 new cases.
