“Nigerian government approach so far is encouraging, but there is room for improvement within the available resources. I think Federal Government has done well testing more people across the country, and we are getting out of it with more research and parterning with health professionals, as well as Nigerians talking about rules put in place,” he said.

“Family physicians have always been first line doctors in healthcare delivery and it is not different in this period,” he said.
He said scores of healthcare workers had paid the ultimate price in the struggle to contain the onslaught of Coronavirus and are still working.
According to him, the disease, if not well co-ordinated, could prove to be physically, emotionally, mentally, personally tasking for healthcare workers.
“It only stands to reason that for the patient, the family and the community to be properly cared for, the healthcare providers have to be themselves healthy in spirit, mind, body,” Obiegbu said.
