LAGOS, Nigeria – Former Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Ghali Umar Na’Abba is not dead after all contrary reports which has been circulating in the media.
In a video, the former Speaker, the most powerful speaker to have emerged from Nigeria said he is alive and not dead as reported.
He said in the past few days, there has been negative reports circulating in the media that he is dead. Ghali Umar Na’aba attributed the reports to mischief makers.
He said he is doing the video to prove to Nigerians, the world over that he alive and hale and hearty.
“I am saddened that rumours would spread about me in such an evil manner. However, this is not a time to reprimand anybody. I am a friend of the press and i think we should do whatever it takes to ensure that we live well”

He said he has been in London held up in the last four weeks. “I have finished what I am here to do,if not for the lack of flight, I would have been back in Nigeria”, he said.
Ghali Umar Na’Abba said he is saddened about what is happening in Nigeria, the COVID-19, especially in Kano and that he has lost a lot of relatives and commiserated with those who have lost their lives.
Ghali Umar Na’Abba was speaker of House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002.
