LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed a total of 184 new cases of the Coronavirus pandemic, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 4971.
Out of the total 4971 cases, 1070 have recovered and consequently discharged while 164 others have passed on.
However, a breakdown of the 184 new cases revealed that 51 new cases were found in Lagos, 23 in Jigawa, 16 in Bauchi, 16 in Katsina, 14 in Kano, 10 in Abuja, 10 in River State, 9 in Kwara, 5 in Delta, 5 in Kaduna, 4 in Sokoto, 4 in Oyo, 3 in Kebbi, 3 in Nasarawa, 3 iCon Osun, 2 in Ondo, 1 in Ebonyi, 1 in Edo, 1 in Enugu, 1 in Anambra, 1 in Plateau and 1 in Niger, the NCDC said on twitter.

Worldwide there are currently 4, 330, 982 confirmed cases of Coronavirus while 295, 671 patience are dead based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United State still remains the most affected country in the world in terms of population affected and the total number of deaths.
The U.S currently has 1,388,002 confirmed cases, while 83, 715 patients have died, followed by Russia with 242, 271 confirmed cases, while 2, 212 patients have passed on.
United Kingdom is the third most affected country in the world and second most affected in Europe. United Kingdom now has 230, 985 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, while 33, 263 patients have passed on, followed by Spain which currently has 228,030 confirmed cases with 27, 104 deaths, followed by Italy which now reports 222, 104 confirmed cases while 31, 106 patients have died.
China where the Coronavirus originated has reported 84, 021 confirmed cases, 4,637 deaths while 79, 242 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving China with just 142 cases of Coronavirus.
