LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed a total of 381 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the total figure of confirmed cases to 3, 526 cases.
But of the 3, 526 confirmed cases in Nigeria, 601 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged while 107 people have died since the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic.
A breakdown of the figures confirmed on Thursday night showed that 183 new cases were found in Lagos, 55 in Kano, 44 in Jigawa, 19 in Zamfara, 19 in Bauchi, 11 in Katsina state, 9 in Borno, 8 in Kwara State, 7 in Kaduna, 6 in Gombe, 5 in Ogun State, 4 in Sokoto, 3 in Oyo, 3 in Rivers State, 2 in Niger, 1 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Enugu and 1 in Plateau State.

Globally, there are currently 3, 833, 957 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 268, 999 patients have died based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.

From the statistics, the United States still leads among the most affected nations in terms of population affected and deaths recorded. According to the centre, the US now has 1, 252, 911 confirmed cases, while 75, 543 patients have died, followed by Spain with 221, 447 confirmed cases, while 26,070 patients have died.
Italy currently has 215, 858 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus while 29, 958 patients have died. In the forth place is the United Kingdom which is now the most affected country in Europe in terms of deaths so far recorded.
The UK currently has 207, 873 confirmed cases with 30, 689 deaths.
