LAGOS, Nigeria – The pan-African bank, United Bank for Africa Plc has sent out words of encouragement to medical doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers, describing them as incredible heroes for keeping Nigerians safe and for staking their lives to make sure that Nigerians survive the pandemic.
In a very terse message, but loaded with the morale boost to confront the pandemic, UBA said trom the nurses to the doctors, health workers and to the essential workforce, “we say a huge thank you for providing the vital care and services the nation needs. Thank you for your selfless dedication to helping others and working round the clock in this difficult period”, the bank said.
According to UBA, It is a time for collective responsibility from everyone, adding that “we at UBA will continue to ensure that you can bank safely via our digital banking channels, ATMs and branches.

“A big thank you to our front-line staff and the entire UBA workforce working hard to keep banking services running for you”, the bank said, stressing that everybody has a part to play in this fight.
“We commend everyone staying home, observing social distancing, taking precautions to stay safe, following the health rules, self-isolating and contributing to the fight in one way or the other.
“Thank you for playing your part”, UBA noted, stressing that it’s a worrying and unusual time, but that we can only pull through by working together and supporting each other. May we come through this stronger than ever”, the bank said.
