LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) today confirmed 12 new cases of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 151 across the federation.
A breakdown of the new cases of COVID-19 revealed that 9 were discovered in Osun, 2 in Edo State and 1 in Ekiti State, making a total of 12 new cases by April 1, 2020.
So far, 9 people who tested positive have been treated and discharged the NCDC said.

“Twelve new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 9 in Osun, 2 in Edo and 1 in Ekiti State As at 12:30 pm 1st April there are 151 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Nine have been discharged with two deaths”, the NCDC said.
The total number of confirmed cases is hiting 151 in Nigeria just as there are 803, 650 cases globally with 39,003 deaths. United States remains the most afflicted with 162 258 cases with 3,044 deaths.
South Africa is the most affected in Africa, reporting 1, 326 with just 3 deaths. But Egypt has the highest number of deaths, recording 40 deaths, Morocco with 33 and Algeria 31 deaths.
