WARRI, Delta, Nigeria -The Delta State Government has called for thorough investigation into the killing of Joseph Pessu by soldiers on patrol, enforcing the total lockdown of the state following outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.
Joseph Pessu, 28, was killed in Warri, the commercial capital of Delta State.
Reacting to the development, the State State Government has called for immediate investigation of the murder.
In a statement, Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu disclosed that the State Government was worried about the report of the killing of a 28-year old man in Warri by security agencies on patrol.

He added that the state government has sent a delegation to the family of the deceased young man to condole with them over the loss of their son.
He said the military authorities have also been contacted to carry out an immediate and thorough investigation into the killing of Joseph Pessu, the commissioner said.
“BREAKING: The Delta State Government has called for an immediate investigation into the alleged killing of a 28-year old man, Joseph Pessu, in Warri on Thursday.
“The Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, in a statement in Asaba disclosed that the State Government was worried about the report of the killing of a 28-year old man in Warri by security agencies on patrol.
“The state government has sent a delegation to the family of the deceased young man to condole with them over the loss of their son. Military authorities have also been contacted to carry out an immediate and thorough investigation into the killing,” the Commissioner said.
The investigation should be effective in order to find out who is the boy and the family he came from. after that immediate action should be taking regards to the compensate them. thanks
