LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) said it has confirmed 19 new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 362.

Out of the 19 new cases, 14 were confirmed in Lagos, 2 in Abuja, 1 in Kano, 1 in Akwa Ibom and 1 in Edo State. Out of the 362 confirmed cases, 99 patients have been discharged while 11 people have died.

“Nineteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported as follows: 14 in Lagos 2 in FCT 1 in Kano 1 in Akwa Ibom 1 in Edo As at 09:20 pm 14th April there are 362 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 99 have been discharged with 11 deaths”, the NCDC has said.

Globally, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University says there are 1, 956, 077 confirmed cases with 125, 123 deaths, with the United States still in the lead, with 589, 048 confirmed cases with 25, 163 deaths.

Spain has reported a total of 172, 541confirmed cases with 18, 056 deaths, while Italy now has 162, 488 confirmed cases with 21,067 deaths. France now has 131, 361 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 15, 748 deaths, whie Germany is reporting 131, 359 confirmed cases with 3,294 deaths.

The United Kingdom now has a total of 94, 845 confirmed cases with 12, 129 deaths, while China retains 83, 306 confirmed cases with 3,345 deaths, while Iran is reporting 74, 877 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic, with 4, 683 deaths.
