LAGOS, Nigeria -The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed six new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing a total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 190.

So far, 20 patients have been discharged by the NCDC with two deaths so far recorded.

“Six new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Osun State, Nigeria. As at 11:00 am 3rd April there are 190 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Twenty have been discharged with two deaths”, the NCDC said.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 pandemic has crossed the one million mark globally, with 1,026, 974 confirmed cases with 53, 975 deaths based on the figures released by the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University.

The United States currently has 245, 573 confirmed cases with over 6,000 deaths. Spain has overtaken Italy with 117, 710 confirmed cases followed by Italy with 115, 245 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Germany is reporting 84,794 confirmed cases followed by China with 82, 465. However, a total of 217, 433 patients have recovered and have been discharged from treatment for the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide.
