1, 011, 600 cases in US with 58, 343 deaths

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 195 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 1,532.
According to the NCDC, out of the 195 new cases, 80 were discovered in Lagos, 38 in Kano, 15 in Ogun, 15 in Bauchi, 11 in Borno, 10 in Gombe, 9 in Sokoto, 5 in Edo, 5 in Gigawa, 2 in Zamfara, 1 in Rivers, 1 in Enugu, 1 in Delta, 1 in FCT and 1 in Nasarawa.
But out of the total of 1,532 cases in Nigeria, 255 patients have been treated and discharged, while 44 patients are dead.

But globally, there are currently 3, 111, 370 confirmed cases, while 216, 857 patients have died based on statistics released by the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland. According to the centre, The United States still maintains the lead among the most affected countries in terms of population afflicted and total number of deaths.
There are now 1, 011, 600 confirmed cases in the United States alone while 58, 343 patients are now dead. Next in line is Spain, which has reported 232, 128 confirmed cases of coronavirus with 23, 822 deaths, followed by Italy with 201, 505 cases with 27, 359 deaths. Next is France with 169,052, with 23, 694 deaths.

The United Kingdom is the next most affected country, reporting 162, 350 confirmed cases with 21, 745 deaths, followed by Germany with a total of 159, 735 confirmed cases with 6, 280 deaths. Turkey is next, 114, 653 with 2, 992 deaths, followed by Russia with 93, 558 confirmed cases of coronavirus with 867 deaths.
Iran is next with a record of 92, 584 with 5, 877 deaths, followed by China which now has 83, 938 confirmed cases of Coronavirus with 4, 637 deaths.
