WASHINGTON, United States – American billionaire, Michael Bloomberg has dropped out of the race to grab the presidential ticket of the Democratic Party.
He is dropping out following a poor showing on Super Tuesday, trailing behind Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.
In his statement, Bloomberg said, he is leaving the race for the same reason he entered the race, defeating President Donald Trump. He dropped out and endorsed former Vice President, Joe Biden.
“Three months ago, I entered the race to defeat Donald Trump. Today, I’m leaving for the same reason. Defeating Trump starts with uniting behind the candidate with the best shot to do it. It’s clear that is my friend and a great American.

“I’m immensely proud of the campaign we ran. I’m deeply grateful to all the Americans who voted for me, and to our dedicated staff and volunteers. I want you to stay engaged, active, and committed to our issues. I will be right there with you. And together, we will get it done.
“Thanks to our supporters who went to the polls, knocked on doors, made phone calls, and sent texts to friends. We couldn’t have done this without you. We’re 100 days into our campaign – and we’re more determined than ever to defeat Donald Trump and rebuild America”, he said.
