PORT HARCOURT, River, Nigeria – Members of the Inspector General of Police, Special Intelligence Rescue Team(IRT) have rescued a staff of the African Independent Television(AIT) who was kidnapped with his wife in Port Harcourt, River State.
The AIT staff, Joseph Osademe and his wife were kidnapped on Saturday evening by four men at gun point.
But operatives of the Special Area Police Division, Rumuokoro and the IGP IRT rescued, the AIT staff and his wife last night.

In a statement, Police Public Relations Officer, Rivers State Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni said the victim’s car was also recovered and currently at the Rumuokoro Police Station.
He said that in a swift response to the distress call, the Police Teams immediately mobilized to the scene and rescued them, where they were kept in an uncompleted building.
