Says Deezell, my ex recorded me changing
LAGOS, Nigeria – Nollywood actress, Maryam Booth who acts in films produced in the Northern part of Nigeria has reacted to reports making the rounds about her leaked nude video in the social media.
The video had generated comments which tends to disparage the reputation of this easy going actress.
Maryam Booth said she was forced to react following a statement released by Ibrahim Ahmad Rufai, better known as Deezell, whom she identified as her former lover.
Maryam Booth said, Deezell secretly recorded her while she was changing.
She said the video was leaked without her knowledge and that she is currently making arrangements to possibly take legal action against those responsible for the leaked video.
” I am aware of the current trend and media outrage regarding the unfortunate leaked video, purported to be me released via a number of social media platforms and viewed by thousands of people so far.
Initially, I wanted to keep mute until security agencies concluded their forensic research and investigation. The recent statement released from someone, in the person of Ibrahim Ahmad Rufai, popularly known as Deezell leaves me with no choice but to break my silence. As a woman actor and role model, I will not let this matter be swept under the carpet.
For the record, I want to categorically state that this man, Ibrahim Ahmad Rufai has … my dignity through possible means and without my knowledge, the three years old video was leaked.
In a situation like this, one needs to be very observant before any pronouncement, but it is true that Deezell was my Ex who then sneakily recorded me while I was changing.
I am already in touch with associates for consultation, which may require taking legal action against whoever is responsible for leaking it. I want to appreciate my family, friends and particularly my fans for their compassion, sympathy and concern in this trying time.
