LAGOS, Nigeria – Benita Okojie, the lovely lady who shot into fame at a very tender age has not been singing for quite some time now. Benita Okojie who got married not too long ago is beginning to think like a mother, most especially after having her own kids.

She shared her thoughts about recovery after birth, tiredness after birth and post delivery stress. Benita Okojie, who shared very lovely photograph of herself and her son is beginning to talk of her experience in motherhood.

“Hey Mamas, welcome to #MummyABants sharing the #JoysOfMotherhood is what we do here on wednesdays and I’m glad to be sharing with you mamas. Today, we are talking about recovery after birth”, she noted.

She explained that as a second time mum, her recovery was completely different from the first. “I was always tired and didn’t feel as strong as I wanted to feel after my baby was here.

“By the time I went for my doctors appointment, the doctor said stress was the number 1 reason for fatigue. He advised that I changed my diet, drink lots of water and get as much help and rest as possible”, she noted.

Writing further, Benita Okojie explained that post delievery is so overwhelming that some mums fall into depression and anxiety while some others just find it hard to process delievery and post delievery stress.

“Recently, I attended a womens Conference and one of the speakers said, according to WHO, women are the most depressed in the world because they are saddled with too many responsibilities”, she said.

She shared 6 points that helped her post delivery recovery.

  1. Pray and listen to your favourite music to help you relax. You will be surprised how much praying and talking to the holy spirit will give you relief.
    2.Drink lots of water
  2. Eat lots of Veggies and fruits
  3. Speak Up when you’re stressed or tired. Ask your hubby or family member for help.
  4. Relax. Learn to relax and rest. Everybody will be fine for the 2 hours you choose to get some rest.
  5. Self motivation and socialise with other mums. You will be amazed how many mums are going through the exact same thing. From gisting about it, You’ll find yourself laughing about it.
