BUCKINGHAM PALACE, England – The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Merkle are now indebted to Buckingham Palace after they agreed to drop their Royal titles, His Royal Highness, HRH.
This was part of the agreement the Duck and Duchess of Sussex reached with the Queen of England and other members of the Royal Family.
According to a statement released by Buckingham Palace, the Duke and Duchess, have agreed to pay back Sovereign Grant Expenditure for the refurbishment of Frogmore Cottage, which remains their family home in the U.K.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared their wish to repay Sovereign Grant Expenditure for the refurbishment of Frogmore Cottage, which will remain their UK family home”, Buckingham Palace has said.
Besides, the Sussexes will not use their HRH titles since they are no longer working members of the Royal Family.
Buckingham Palace did not comment on the details of security arrangements, noting that there are well established independent processes to determine the need for publicly funded security.
They will also step back from official military appointments and will no longer receive public funds for royal duties.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are grateful to Her Majesty and the Royal Family for their ongoing support as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.
