LAGOS, Nigeria – The Department of State Services(DSS) eventually released convener, #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore and his colleague, Olawale Bakare following a 24 hours ultimatum from Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu.
In just 126 days in DSS custody, Sowore was not in his real self. He was looking emaciated even as he managed to toss his fingers up in a fist of victory.
Sowore’s lawyer Marshall Abubakar who affirmed the development, said he has been released “He has been released. I am with him as we speak. Olawale Bakare, Sowore’s co-defendant, had also been set free too.
Omoyele Sowore’s trial continued today at the Federal High Court, Abuja. Sowore is on trial for treasonable felony, money laundering and for insaulting President Muhammadu Buhari.
All these linked with his decision to organised a protest to agitate for economic reforms.
