LAGOS, Nigeria – Embattled Nigerian musician, Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley has angrily showcased his set of luxury vehicles, Porsche, Bentley and other luxury cars after he was dragged to court for alleged car theft.
Naira Marley and his aides, Babatunde Fashola (24) and Kunle Obere (22) were dragged to court for stealing a Toyota Camry with registration number FEE 120 AA valued at N1.8 million and an IPhone X5 worth N330,000 belonging to Mr. Adelekan Ademola.
The Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos however granted Naira Marley, Kunle Obere and Babatunde Fashola N500,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.
Chief Magistrate Mr. Tajudeen Elias also ordered that the Investigating Police Officer (IPO), Sgt. Sunday Idoko to produce Naira Marley and three others in court on December 21 when the matter will be due for hearing.
Naira Marley and two others were arraigned on a four-count charge of conspiracy, stealing, assault and obstructing arrest.
Prosecuting Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Edet Okoi told the court that the three defendants committed the offences on December 16, at Eko Hotel roundabout on Victoria Island, Lagos.
He said that the trio, who were in a motorcade with Naira Marley, stole a Toyota Camry vehicle with registration number FEE 120 AA valued at N1.8 million and an IPhone X5 worth N330,000 belonging to Mr. Adelekan Ademola.
