OGUN, Nigeria – House of Representatives candiate in Ogun Local Government election, Mr. Akeem Amosu and his supporters about 3000 of them have pitched their tenths with the major opposition, Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
Amosun who is seeking to represent Abeokuta South during the election under the Alliance for New Nigeria said he moved to PDP to enable him form a vibrant and formidable oppoision in Ogun State politics.
Amosun and his supporters were received into PDP on Thursday evening by former House of Representatives member; Hon. Ladi Adebutu and PDP chieftain, Sikurullai Ogundele.
Speaking during the event, Amosun said he defected from ANN to PDP to realize his political aspiration.
“Our opponents are wicked, therefore, we need to be united. The nature of elections as seen throughout the federation is now being militarized brazenly”.
