West African Idol star, Timi Dakolo goes international, joins Elton John at Virgin EMI Records

LODON, U.K – Nigerian R&B singer, Timi Dakolo should be the happiest man at this moment. The musician, who is a living testimony of the West African Idol, courtesy Multichoice Nigeria Limited has just secured a deal with Virgin EMI Records.

Virgin EMI Records is the Universal Music U.K frontline label and has the likes of Taylor Swist, Katy Perry, Emeli Sande, Elton John, Paul MacCartney, Blossoms, Bon Jovi, George Michael and Pual Simon among others.

Timi Dakolo graced the international scene after another Nigerian star, Tiwa Savage joined Universal Music. Timi Dakolo has been consistent with his style of music.

Recall that few weeks ago, he was in London where he featured in the London Symphony Orchestra, his first and major international outing.

Timi Dako is recording successes irrespective of the problem he is facing on the homefront as it relates to his wife, Busola who is currently in court for alleged sexual abuse by a senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Abiodun Fatoyinbo.
