GHANA – Ghana born Nollywood actress, Jackie Appiah is a true African pearl. She is descent and without any scandal so far, she has been able to prove herself as a true ambassador of the African culture.
She has been able to carry herself very well with the way she dresses, the way the African lady is taught to carry herself.
Jackie Appiah has been very reticent even as she has watched many ladies brought up in the African way downgrade themselves just to look like their peers in the western world.
But she decided to speak up today and the message is no less than a bombshell for many who seems to have been oblivious of where they are coming from.
As she puts it, A lady knows how to cover her body and yet still look beautiful, as in 1 Timothy 2:9. I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency”, she said.
For those who don’t know, here is 1Timothy 2:9 New World Translation: “Likewise, the women should adorn themselves in appropriate dress, with modesty and soundness of mind, not with styles of hair braiding and gold or pearls or very expensive clothing”.
