IKOYI, Lagos, Nigeria – Fast rising Nigerian musician called Afeez Adesina Fashola better known as Naira Marley today stalled proceedings in his ongoing trial for credit card fraud.
Naira Marley whose image has soared since his arraignment is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) on 11 count charge bothering on credit card fraud.
The trial today at the Federal High Court, Lagos could not go on as scheduled when the defence team, represented by Olalekan Ojo brought a motion urging the prosecution to front load more documents.
Justice I. Nicholas Oweibo has adjourned the matter to Wednesday, October 23 at the instance of the defence.
Naira Marley was arraigned, on May 20, 2019 on an 11-count charge of credit card fraud. He has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
