LAGOS, Nigeria – Augustine Amedu better known as Blackface has finally fulfilled his dream of releasing his own version of African Queen’, one of the tracks he co-wrote with 2Face. Blackface and Innocent Idibia better known as 2Face have been at loggerhead over rendition of Let Somebody Love You’, which he allegedly wrote when he and 2Face Idibia were in Plantashun Boyz.

He also accused 2Face and his manager, Efe Omorogbe of stealing the lyrics. 2Face Idibia and his manager, Efe Omorogbe have denied stealing the lyrics but agreed he had inputs in the song.

His continued labelling of 2Face and Efe Omorogbe as thieves forced the two to institute a N53 million defamation suit against Blackface. The matter is still pending before Justice Josephine Oyefeso of a Lagos High Court.

However, speaking on the development today, Blackface said he has released his own version of ‘Let Somebody Love You’. Recall that Efe Omorogbe, Manager of 2Face had urged Blackface to release his own version of the contentious ‘Let Somebody Love You’.

Blackface, who lashed out at thebeatFm and its presenter Olisa Adibua for failing to ask 2Face and his manager to explain why he was sued, lambasted Olisa Adibua and thebeatfm for not playing his music.

“blackfacenaija:I never knew @olisaadibua knew about the court case 2face & @efeomorogbe filled against me ,my question is why didn’t him or @thebeat999fm ever ask them why they sued me for 50M or ask me what’s going on? Yeaa I just released #africanqueen which y’all won’t play because una no dey play my music for #beatfm999 Thank you ✌”, he said.
