OGUN, Nigeria – Alhaja Wulemotu Kashamu, mother of former Governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Ogun State, Senator Buruji Kashamu is dead.
She was 96. The senator announced her passing few minutes ago on the social media. The senator did not disclose whether or not she was sick.
All he said about her was that Alhaja Wulemotu Kashamu, returned to her maker this evening @ the ripe age of 96, he said, adding that May Allah grant her aljana firdaus (Amin)
“Senator Buruji Kashamu @Sen_Kashamu Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. My beloved mother, Alhaja Wulemotu Kashamu, returned to her maker this evening @ the ripe age of 96. May Allah grant her aljana firdaus (Amin)”.
Senator Kashamu contested the last governorship election in Ogun State and lost to the current governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun. Alhaja Wulemotu Kashamu will likely be buried tomorrow according to Muslim rites.
