IKEJA, Lagos, Nigeria- Magistrates in Lagos States are in for good time as the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has decided to give them a raise in the quest to make judges presiding over magistrate courts in Lagos to live more comfortable.
One way, the governor is doing it is to give out KIA SUVs, 2019 models for all the magistrates. The vehicles have been arriving premises of the Lagos High Court, in Ikeja since last Wednesday.
So far, about 16 of the vehicles have been packed in the premises. We gathered that 16 other SUVs will arrive this week before they will be distributed to the magistrates.
We gathered that this is just one of the packages the governor has put in place to spur magistrates to greater service.
The former governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode gave Toyota Prado jeeps and Ford to High Court judges in the state but nothing was given to the magistrates until now.
