ABUJA, Nigeria – President Muhammadu Buhari today swore in 43 ministers that will work with him the next four years(Second Term).
He swore them in after assigning portfolios to all of them. Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN who many felt would be the Minister for Justice, got Minister of State for Niger Delta, while Mr. Babatunde Fashola got just one ministry this time. He is Minister for Works and Housing.
He was stripped of the Ministry of Power. Mr Sale Mamman (Taraba State) is the new Minister of Power while Alhaji Abubakar D. Aliyu (Yobe State) is Minister of State Housing.
The other surprise is the ministry of petroleum, which has been assigned to the former governor of Bayelsa State, Mr. Timiprey Silva. He is now to work as Minister of State for Petroleum, while President Muhammadu Buhari remains Minister of Petroleum Resources.
Senator Godswill Akpabio is the Minister of Niger Delta, while Ogbonaya Onu is Minister for Science and Technology.
