LAGOS, Nigeria – Former porn star, Delphina Joy better known as Savage Trap Queen has been transformed into a new person. She is lovely, although she does not attend any church, she believes there is a God.
Savage Trap Queen who appeared on ‘Your View’ on TVC today said she is not into any relationship and she is not searching as a result of issues relating to trust.
She believes men may find it a luxury to trust her being a former porn star.
“I am not searching, I had trust issues. I don’t want to do anything that will create mental issue for me”. Nevertheless, she is ready to open up whenever she intends to go to into an enduring relationship and start a family.
“I will want the man to tell her parents who I am and what I have done in the past,”she said. Savage Trap Queen will not want her kids to take after her amorous past lifestyle.
“I would not want my kids to venture into it. I was foolish, so I decided to come on the show to create awareness…I regret my action, I should not have been discouraged even when I felt I could not realise my pageant dream.
Savage Trap Queen, whose real names are Delphina Joy was brought up in a good family. She came from a Catholic background with good discipline. Her parents are well to do. She lacked virtually nothing. In secondary school, she was among the big girls – she could boast of at least three uniforms. She came into porn business just by curiosity. Her mother was a proprietress and never had the problem of low self esteem, neither was she violated.
“I see myself as the prettiest, the coolest, I never had a low self esteem. I was never violated, my mum and dad were there , I was just curious, “ she said.
First contact with Pornography
She loved surfing the internet where she stumbled on pornography. She was then 19 and on and on, she got engrossed until there was no looking back.
“I started getting wild when I was 20 years old and I made that decision when I was 22”.
She actually wanted to go to the monastery to be a nun and later fashion and music before she settled down for beauty pageantry. But her sojourn in the world of beauty was a tale of woe.
Influence of Kim Kardashian lifestyle
As she puts it, those who win buy their way through. She was once discouraged for not having the cash to back up her natural endowment to go far in beauty pageant. She had to fall back on ponorgraphy. “I wanted money and fame,I wanted the Kim Kardashian lifestyle”, she recalled.
Savage Trap Queen regrets digressing into ponorgraphy and would not want anybody she knows, not even her enemies to go into the business of pornograph. And as she puts it, “there is no money in the business of pornorgraphy, it is pure deception,” she said on television.
The day my dad wept profusely
Delphina Joy informed her parents before she stormed the world of pornography. There was no support from the home front, especially her dad, who could not stomach the fact that his lovely daughter has taken the world of amorality to get to her destination.
“My extended family did not like it , they cut me off. My mum gave me time to understand myself. After my interview on BBC, my dad cried, that means it hurts him, I am using this medium to apologise to my dad, mum and my sister. I had friends that cut me off even at school. They don’t pick my calls”, she said.
Past came calling
For Savage Trap Queen, the past is already here, and the impact is devastating. “Nobody wants to be on set movie production with me. Each time there is a movie, the producers will say the actors say they don’t want to be on set with a porn star”, she said. She is hoping to develop her fashion line and make a living with it.
Lack of opportunities may have been the driving force for taking the wrong steps. According to her, giving the right opportunities, pornography wouldn’t have been an option. “Overseas, there are wider opportunity to achieve my dream without going into immorality”, she said.
She was however touched when the media was awash with reports that Savage Trap Queen is down with HIV. For her, it is not true that those in porn business have the Human Immunodeficiency Virus(HIV) or the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome(AIDS) . Besides, she doesn’t feel anything each time she is on set a porn scene.
“I don’t feel anything, it is just like acting. Before each movie, I and the male actor, will do oral check up, clean health checks before the scene”, she said to allay fears.
