LAGOS, Nigeria – Daar Communications Plc, the operators of African independent Communications(AIT), Raypower, Faaji Fm and DaarSat has resumed transmission following the order of a Federal High Court Abuja, which ordered parties, the National Broadcasting Commission(NBC) and Daar Communications Plc to maintain the statusque as at May 30th, 2019.
Ruling on the matter, Justice Inyang Ekwo ordered parties to maintain status quo as of May 30 when the case by Daar Communication was filed.
“I have noted the eight grounds upon which the exparte application was hinged upon, application of this nature must be considered judicially and judiciously. That, I have done.
“I hereby order that parties shall maintain status quo ante bellum as at May 30, 2019 pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice filed in this case.”
The were also to maintain the statusquo until June 13 when the substantive suit will be heared.
