LAGOS, Nigeria – Less than 24 hours from now, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode will cease to be the governor of Lagos State. Former Minister of Establishment and Pension, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu will be sworn in and Lagos is anticipated to return to glorious days of law and order and prosperity for all.
But we have put together 25 things, we believe that the outgoing governor will be remembered for. Read through and criticise the list if you wish.
1. Vendetta: He laid foundation for his untimely exit due to vendatta, refusing to forgive his predecessor, Babatunde Fashola
2. Total neglect of Mile 2 Iyana Oba, Badagry expressway( the gateway to West African States).
3. The only governor that is obsessed with the building of bus stops.
4.Lawlessness, lack of law and order
5.Disrespect for LASTMA
6.The only governor that failed APC primaries
7. All 4 Lagos IPPs collapsed under Ambode, he refused to buy gas to power them rendering courts, LASUTH and Police formations without light.
8. Bad roads, though he constructed some but rendered Public Works useless, the result is potholes all over Lagos.
9. Blocked drainages, department of EFAG rendered useless.
10.Covertion of government properties into private property, ie Conversion of Transfer Loading Station at Adeniji to VISIONSCAPE
11.Neglect of ongoing projects initiated by his predecessor, ie, Ilubirin.
12. Sacked champlain 24 hours after sunday service for alleged disrespect for his wife, Bolanle. Presiding Chaplain of Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, Venerable Femi Taiwo, was sacked by the Governing Council allegedly on the order of the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
13. Transformation of neighbourhood watch into Lagos Neighbourhood Corps,LNC
14. Commissioning uncompleted projects
15. The governor that commission 820 buses twice, whereas commuters remain stranded at various bus stations for lack of buses. If 920 are distributed evenly by 37 LGs and LCDs, it comes to 22 buses per local government. At Ojodu, not enough buses, not more than two new buses seen at a time.

17. Governor with the highest record of resignation by commissioners
18. The governor that barricaded himself from the people by building walls to prevent protesters from getting across to him.

20. The governor that abandoned tradition of giving rams, chickens, turkeys and grains to civil servants and well wishers at festivals
21 The only governor with biceps and only governor that amassed excess weight in office while others lost weight on the saddle.
