OWERRI, Imo, Nigeria – Governor-elect of Imo State, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has he will work hard to sustain the trust of Imo people, stressing that he hopes to bequeath a legacy of purposefulness, transparency in governance and observance of the rule of law in the practice of democracy.

“We will work very hard to sustain the trust of Imo people.  God helping us, we intend to bequeath a legacy of purposefulness, transparency in governance and observance of the rule of law in the practice of our democracy”, he said, during the inauguratin of 139 member Transition Technical Committee(TCC).

He recalled that on 9th March this year, the people of Imo State voted overwhelmingly for the party because they believe that they can give them good leadership.

“And with elections over, the business of governance has to commence. Our people are eager, expectant and seem assured that we will be true to our words. I find this enthusiasm humbling and at the same time challenging”, he said.

I VOW TO WORK HARD AND SUSTAIN IMO PEOPLE’S TRUST

To work very hard to sustain the trust and confidence that Imo people have reposed in me is one of my greatest motivation of Imo State.

I made the revelation while addressing the audience during the inauguration ceremony for the 139-member Transition Technical Committee (TTC) at Owerri on Wednesday April 3, 2019.

“On 9th March this year, the people of Imo State voted overwhelmingly for us because they believe that we can give them good leadership. And with elections over, the business of governance has to commence. Our people are eager, expectant and seem assured that we will be true to our words. I find this enthusiasm humbling and at the same time challenging.

“We promised good governance while stimulating development in all sectors and across all the zones of our dear State. “We will work very hard to sustain the trust of Imo people. 

God helping us, we intend to bequeath a legacy of purposefulness, transparency in governance and observance of the rule of law in the practice of our democracy.  #RebuildImo
