IKEJA, Lagos, Nigeria – Governor-elect of Lagos State, Mr. Babtunde Sanwo-Olu has sent his condolence to the family of Kolade Johnson who was killed on Sunday when members of the police Special Antirobbery Squad(SARS) raided Onipetesi where he was watching a football game at No. 1 Beco Street, Onipetesi, Mongoro, Lagos.
Already, Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP CP Zubairu Muazu has said that the trigger happy policeman is already in custody. He called for calm, assuring that justice will prevail in this case.
Sanwo-Olu also commended the police for their swift action, adding that what happend should not have been allowed in the first place.
“My sincere condolence to the family of Kolade Johnson. I commend @PoliceNG for their swift action but this is a very unfortunate incident that should never have happened. The lives of citizens must be protected at all costs and everything should come into play to ensure that”, he said.
