LAGOS, Nigeria – President Muhammadu Buhari is presently on his way to Lagos, just about one year after he visited Lagos on March 29, 2018. During the visit, one project the president commissioned was the Ikeja Bus terminal.
Then still in the works, the president commissioned the project, but few weeks after the visit, the terminal was shut down and major work commenced. One year after it was commissioned, work is still on going and the terminal yet to be put to use.
What is on the terminal at present is nothing but newly purchased buses parked within the parks, while the outer road is left for local buses plying local and international airport. The gate still remains closed till date.
Today is April 24, 2019 and President Muhammadu Buhari is again on his way to commission projects. Projects scheduled to be commissioned include the Ayinke House at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, (LASUTH) Ikeja, the project has been in the works since the time of the former governor, now Minister for Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola.
We had no access into the building but from the facade, it appears to have been completed. Another projects scheduled for the president’s visit is the Oshodi Internationa Bus terminal and Murtala Muhammed International Airport Road. From the pictures available to us, works are still ongoing, showing that the projects are yet to the completed.
Above are pictures of the projects Buhari is flying into town to commission today.
