KANO, Nigeria – The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) today insisted that its candidates, Abba Yusuf remains the clear winner of the governorship election in Kano State, noting that any attempt by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) to announce another result which does not reflect the will of Kano people cannot stand.

The PDP made the statement just as INEC has announced Abdullahi Ganduje as winner of what is clearly one of the most controversial election in the universe.

In a statement, PDP national Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan said the whole world knows that PDP candidate, Abba Yusuf won the governorship election since March 9, 2019 when the election was held having won the hightest number of votes and secured 25 percent in two-third of the state as required by the constitution.

The PDP described the supplementary election in Kano State as a national disgrace and a mere figure allocation exercise by the highly compromised INEC officials who collaborated with power drunk politicians in the All Progressive Congress(APC) to award result to the APC candidate.

“The party therefore cautioned INEC against any attempt to import contrived figures from the illegitimate March 23 charade, as such will be a clear recipe for anarchy and serious crisis in the state.

The PDP said Kano people have a clear history of resistance.
