LAGOS, Nigeria – A two storey building today collapsed in Lagos Island. This is the third building to collapse in one month, all in the Lagos Island. In a statement, Lagos State Management Agency (LASEMA), said no one was trapped in the rubbles.
LASEMA said security operatives and emergency workers have arrived at the scene to ensure others residents are safe and that the rubles are disposed of properly.
Recall that few weeks ago, on March 13, a 3-storey building collapsed at Massey Street, Ita-Faaji, killing 20 people in the incident. Dozens of people were injured and were treated at nearby general hospital.
Few days later, another building which was being demolished collapsed on some workers.
