LAGOS, Nigeria – National Leader of the All Progressive Congress(APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a politician in a class of his own. He is the only politician most analyst will swear will never ditch his party for any other party, not to talk of moving on to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), which he has severally described as ‘Poverty Development Party’.
Tinubu will do anything for his party, but since he and leadership of the party including President Muhammadu Buhari were humiliated, at the Ogun State rally, no thanks to the antics of the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, he seemed to have been infuriated and decided to stay away for now.
He was so infuriated that he was said to have thrown away the flag of the party, he nurtured into what has become an octopus. Asiwaju, one of the greatest politician of this age has not said anything but even in his silence, his body language has continued to draw myriads of interpretations.
Some have said he has abandoned the “sinking ship” after posing in a photograph with some supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP). The question on the minds of many as they look critically at the picture is that, are Atiku supporters crossing over to the ruling APC, or is Tinubu contemplating going under the umbrella?
The Tinubu I know will never go into an umbrella even in the weirdest of rainstorm, he would rather hold his head high and walk even if it means going alone and getting drenched to his car? But what do you think, tongues are wagging!
