LAGOS, Nigeria – Leading manfacturer of house items, PZ has said it is not leaving Nigeria, contrary to reports in the media. In a statement to the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, (NSE), PZ said the report circulating in the media about its intention to leave Nigeria is false.

It acknowledged that it has been tough doing business in Nigeria but that it is not leaving.

In a statement signed by Christos Giannopoulous, the company said PZ still maintains a strong market share in Nigeria adding that it will be celebrating 120 years of making life better and adding value to Nigeria.

It said the company has faced different problems in the 120 years of doing business in Nigeria and that it has come out stronger all the time.

“We confirm to our stakeholders, consumers, customers, employees, business partners and stakeholders that Nigeria still remains a market of interest for us and have made no plans to leave Nigeria”, PZ said, adding that its factories in Ikorodu, Aba and all distribution centres around the country are operating and will continue to be.
