LAGOS, Nigeria – Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has said he has not resigned contrary to reports in the social media.
The social media was rife on Wednesday with reports that he resigned due to his absence at a meeting at the Presidential Villa.
But the vice president who was on tweeter described the report as misleading, adding that fake news is on the rise especially this season. He said, he remains committed to the service of the Nigerian people under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.
“@ProfOsinbajo 2:Misleading/FAKE news is on the rise especially in this season when Nigerians will make a choice about who will govern them for the next four years. I have not resigned! I remain committed to the service of the Nigerian people under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari”, he said.
The vice president has been very busy campaining for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
