Says you’ll not be allowed to deliver address

WASHINGTON, United States – Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi has said that President Donald Trump will not be allowed to deliver the annual state of the union address until government reopens.

The speaker conveyed this feelings in her letter to the President.

“I am writing to inform you that the house will not consider a concurrent resolution authorising the President’s State of the Union Address in the chamber until government has reopened.

“Again, I look forward to welcoming you to the house on mutually agreable date for this address when government has been opened”, she said.

The president was scheduled to deliver the annual address on January 29th, but the speaker said when it was fixed January 3rd, shutdown of government was not anticipated to last that long.
